My whole view on 'wasting time' changed after hearing someone talk about their commute

I overheard a guy in the hardware store saying he uses his 45 minute drive to learn audiobooks about woodworking, and it hit me that I've been calling my own 20 minute drive a waste when I just blast old rock songs... has anyone else reframed a chunk of their day like that?

22 minutes isn't even usually enough time to get into a good audiobook chapter, so I'm not sure that guy's example is something to aim for.

Totally get what you mean. My grandmother used to say she'd do her best thinking while ironing, which I always thought was nuts until I started doing dishes by hand. Now that's my weird little zen time where I plan out my whole weekend.

Idk, I'm pretty sure my brain is on airplane mode during those 22 minutes. I tried the whole productive shower thing and just ended up forgetting if I washed my hair or not. Maybe it's just me but I think some of us are better off just zoning out and enjoying the warm water.
