That time I lost my temper at the DMV and learned a hard lesson about patience
I was at the DMV on Capital Boulevard in Raleigh last Thursday, already 15 minutes late for my appointment because of traffic. When the clerk told me my renewal form had a typo and I'd have to reschedule, I snapped at her and raised my voice, blaming her for the system being broken. She just looked at me calmly and pointed out that the error was on my own handwriting on the form I filled out. I apologized right there, red faced, and waited another hour for a correction, realizing I get mad at people for things they can't control. Has anyone else had a moment where your anger was totally misdirected like that?

Did you at least bring a book or something? Always takes forever in there.

Had the same thing happen at the tag office last year. Now I always double check my forms before I hand them over, and if I feel that heat rising I just take a quick walk around the parking lot before saying anything.
