Fear is such a wild thing. It completely overrides logic and makes people dig in their heels. Once someone gets scared about something like vaccines, no amount of studies or data is going to change their mind because the fear feels real to them. The original poster gets it right - it's not about being stupid or stubborn, it's about being terrified of something they don't fully understand. Doctors and scientists just don't have a way to reach people in that state of mind.
