Found a beat up copy of X-Men #1 at a thrift store in Tulsa and it got me reading floppies again

Honestly I used to think digital was the way to go but finding a real copy changed my mind completely.

Well I have to say I'm not sure I get the big deal @sandra_bennett59. I mean sure, finding a physical thing in a used bookstore can be nice but it's still just the same words whether it's on paper or a screen. I switch back and forth all the time and honestly I don't think about it that much after I start reading. People act like it's this huge life changing thing but at the end of the day you're still just looking at words on something. Maybe I'm just not sentimental enough but I've never had a digital book or a real one change my mind about anything.

You know, I had a friend who felt exactly the same way until she found her grandmother's old copy of "To Kill a Mockingbird" in a thrift store. She said holding that worn out book with notes in the margins made her feel connected to her grandma in a way a digital copy never could. She told me it changed how she read the story, not the words themselves but the feeling behind them. So I get what @sandra_bennett59 is saying, sometimes the physical thing carries something extra with it.
