Hit 1,000 comics in my collection and my girlfriend asked if I had a problem
So I finally logged my collection into CLZ last night and the number hit 1,024. I honestly thought I was sitting around 600 or 700 max. I started buying floppies back in 2011 at a shop in Akron that's since closed down, and I just kept stuffing them into long boxes under my bed and in the closet without really tracking anything. The weird part is I can tell you exactly where I bought maybe 50 of them, but the rest are just a blur of Wednesday trips and dollar bins. My girlfriend looked at the spreadsheet and asked if this was a problem, and I didn't have a real answer for her. The thing that actually surprised me is that 300 of them are stuff I don't even remember buying, mostly indie books from the 2010s. Anyone else ever do a full count and get blindsided by the number, or am I the only one who was living in denial about how deep this goes?
I mean that sounds pretty normal to me, those dollar bins add up fast and you don't even notice. The spreadsheet is what does it, once you see the real number it hits different. Maybe it's just me but 1,000 books over 10+ years is like one a week, that's not a problem that's just a habit.
