I used to defend buying single issues every Wednesday, now I wait for the trade
For years I was at my local shop in Buffalo every Wednesday at 11am, pulling 15 to 20 singles a month and bagging them the same night. Then my pull list got out of hand and I was spending $80 a month on books I'd read once and shelve forever. About a year ago I switched to waiting for trades, and honestly the stories read better in one sitting without a 30 day gap between issues. The floppies still feel great in your hands, but I can't pretend the $4.99 price tag on a 22 page book makes sense for me anymore. Anyone here made the switch and then gone back, or am I just getting old and cheap?
