Just dropped $120 on a complete run of The Immortal Hulk...

I finally caved and bought the whole Al Ewing Immortal Hulk run in trade paperbacks after borrowing the first volume from a buddy. Cost me about $120 for all 10 volumes on eBay, and honestly I was worried I'd regret it but I just finished volume 3 and I'm hooked. Anyone else take a chance on a full run like that and end up loving it?

$120 is a lot for a comic run you could just read online, honestly. "Hooked" after three volumes doesn't really prove it's worth the money, plenty of series start strong and fall apart. I'd rather borrow the rest from a friend before dropping that kind of cash on something that might not hold up.

I read somewhere that The Walking Dead ran for like 190 issues and people still argue about whether it fell off after the prison arc. $120 is a lot to gamble on that same kind of risk.

Buy the first few volumes used and see if you even like it past the third one.
