My local shop got wiped out in one Wednesday and I'm still mad about it
So last Wednesday I hit up Heroes Corner on 5th in my town for new comic day and the shelves were basically bare by 10am. Turns out one guy bought 40 copies of the same variant cover, not to collect, just to flip online for triple the price. The owner told me he had 6 regulars walk out empty handed that morning. How do you all deal with speculators cleaning out your shop before real fans even get a shot?
Watched a guy do the exact same thing at my shop last year and I used to figure eh, it's a free country, let him buy what he wants. But then my buddy couldn't get a copy for his kid's birthday and I changed my tune real quick. Shops should just cap it at 2 or 3 per person on hot books, regulars come first.
