Adding a column for who owes who after each visit cut our 'did you already grab that?' texts down to zero, but now I'm curious if anyone else splits a pull list with someone in a different city and how you handle the money part.
We ran into a tax thing with our setup that nobody warns you about. My buddy in Phoenix and I use one shared card for the pull list, and after a year of splitting everything down the middle the shop handed him a single 1099 for the full amount of our pulls, not just his half. If you guys are just Venmoing each other back and forth that's fine, but if either of you puts it on a card or the shop runs a tab under one name, keep your own records of who paid what. Our shop owner told us it happens all the time and people get surprised in April.
