Overheard a guy say reading spoilers first ruins the story. I do it on purpose.

At the LCS last Tuesday, a college kid told his friend that knowing the ending ahead of time kills the emotional payoff. I read spoilers every time before I open an issue, especially for big crossover events like the 2024 Absolute Power arc. Does knowing the twist actually cheapen it, or does it just change what you look for in the art and dialogue?

DC definitely hides half the real plot in subtext anyway.
