Spent 4 hours looking for a single missing issue from 1993

I was reorganizing my long boxes and realized my copy of Spider-Man #36 was just gone. Turned out it was wedged behind my dresser for 6 months.

Man, I feel this in my bones. I once spent a whole Saturday tearing apart my apartment looking for an X-Men #266 from 1991. I was convinced I had sold it or it got stolen. Turns out it was inside a random comic I bought in a dollar bin at a convention three years earlier. I had slid it in there to keep it flat and forgot about it completely. My girlfriend at the time thought I was losing my mind, pacing around with all these boxes everywhere. Your mileage may vary, but that feeling when you finally find it is pure gold.

Oh man, that is painful but also kinda beautiful. @seth_singh20 I totally get the pacing around thing. My girlfriend thought I was having some kind of breakdown last year when I couldn't find my copy of Spider-Man #300. I was literally shaking every long box, pulling out bags, checking the bathroom closet for some reason. I was so sure I had sold it at a garage sale or something. Turns out I had tucked it inside the cover of an old Wizard magazine I was using to store some card pages. Nearly gave me a heart attack when I flipped it open three weeks later.

lilyp37 that feeling of pure gold you mentioned is exactly right, it's like the universe giving you a little win. @seth_singh20 I swear this is just how life works, you lose a physical thing and it's a whole ordeal, but my phone battery can disappear in 15 minutes and I don't even blink.
