Stopped by a comic shop in Toledo last weekend and saw kids debating Silver Age origins
I was flipping through some back issues when I heard two teenagers arguing about whether Barry Allen or Jay Garrick was the better Flash. Reminded me of my own debates at that age, but back then we were arguing over newsprint in the schoolyard instead of on YouTube. Has anyone else noticed younger fans diving into older stuff more lately?

Laughing at @stone.lisa gatekeeping comic book history like it's a secret club. Bet those kids could school us on some Silver Age deep cuts we've forgotten.

Kids are showing up with wiki-level knowledge of old books these days. I heard about a 14-year-old who rattled off every guest artist on Steve Ditko's run. Gatekeeping doesn't work when they've got the internet.

Those kids should just stick with the modern comics instead...

That 14 year old thing actually made me rethink my whole stance on kids reading old comics.
