That one fan at my LCS said my pull list was too basic and it stung
He told me reading Batman and Spider-Man every month was like only eating chicken nuggets. So I swapped in a random indie book called The Fix and actually found my new favorite.

yeah honestly that's like getting mad someone only listens to the Beatles, sometimes basic stuff is good for a reason

Exactly, it's like being mad at someone for wearing jeans every day. They're comfy, they work, not everyone has to be a fashion icon.

Not everyone has to be a fashion icon" - that's the whole thing right there. People act like you have to have this whole curated personality or something. I've been using the same lipstick shade for like 8 years and my sister keeps trying to get me to switch it up. It's just a good color that works for me, you know? Why fix what isn't broken. Sometimes you find a thing you like and you just stick with it.
