The comic shop near my old high school feels like a different planet now
Back in 2010, it was just a few long boxes and some new releases on a rack, and you'd maybe see two other people in there. Now, it's all fancy chairs, coffee, and people filming YouTube videos about their pulls. I guess the movies made everyone a fan, but it's just not the same quiet spot. Anyone else have a local shop that changed like that?

Mine got like that too. I just started going right when they open on a weekday. It's empty then, just me and the owner. Still has the new stuff but I get that quiet time back.

Yeah, mine did the same thing. I found a smaller shop a few towns over that still has that old vibe, just boxes and posters. It's worth the drive for me.

I get what markh85 is saying, but I actually like the change. My local spot redid their place with better lighting and clean shelves. I can find what I need in two minutes now. The old clutter was kind of a pain, even if it had charm. I'll take the convenience.
