Dive ticket changed overnight after I switched to full face masks

Did a 6 week job in Port Arthur on twin hose regulators, then swapped to a full face mask setup and my bottom time felt way longer with zero jaw fatigue, anyone else notice that much difference just from the mask change?

Port Arthur's 40 feet made my SAC rate drop 15% on the FFM, but @kimmurphy nails the dead air piece.

Did you check if the full face mask changed how you breathe, like less dead air space, because that could mess with your gas consumption and make the time feel totally different? That's the sneaky part nobody talks about.
