Had to choose between a Kirby Morgan bandmask and a Divex Ultraflow for this pipeline job in the Gulf last month

I went with the Kirby Morgan because of the parts availability on the boat, but the Ultraflow's exhaust valve angle would've been better for the current we were working in, has anyone else been stuck with a mask choice that worked fine on paper but felt wrong underwater?

Honestly, just another day of choosing which mask will leak less.

You're probably overthinking it with the Ultraflow's valve angle... that current shifts every other day and you can't plan around it. Sticking with the Kirby Morgan was the right call for that boat, parts are everything when you're offshore and something breaks.
