Hit 50 dives in a single week during a bridge repair job off Galveston and my body still feels wrecked
Between the fast bottom times and constant current changes I logged more hours in seven days than I usually do in a month, and now my lower back is screaming every morning - has anyone else dealt with this kind of fatigue spike?

Yo you actually did 50 dives in 7 days? I used to think pushing through fatigue was just part of the job, but last year I had a stretch of 12 hour days on a wreck job and my body totally gave out on me. Like I woke up one morning and could barely get out of bed, my lower back was that tight and sore. It's wild how fast that stuff adds up when you're doing multiple drops with quick turnarounds. Now I'm way more careful about taking real rest days and not just pushing through because that kind of fatigue spike is no joke.

Man I know that feeling, @elizabethmason - my back started making sounds like an old sub door after day 4 of that binge (seriously, I was popping ibuprofen like tic tacs). Learned the hard way that "just one more drop" turns into "why can't I move my neck" real quick.

Hold on, 50 dives in a week is a lot but are you sure your back isn't just tweaked from sleeping funny or something? I've done back to back work weeks with quick turnarounds and felt beat up but my body bounced back in a couple days after a good sleep and some stretching. Maybe try a different mattress or a heating pad before you blame it all on the fatigue spike.
