Just realized I burned $500 on a drysuit repair that didnt even last a season

I took my drysuit to a random shop in Norfolk last fall because they quoted me half of what my usual guy charges. They fixed a wrist seal leak but three dives later it was already peeling off. $500 down the drain and I still had to spend another $350 with the original guy to do it right. Has anyone else gotten burned trying to save a few bucks on repairs?

Laughing at the "discount" that somehow costs more than the real deal. Classic case of pay twice, cry twice, or whatever they say.
