Old timer told me to stop using milk crates for gear storage on the boat
Had this crusty supervisor named Gary on a job in Houma 2 years ago. He saw me tossing my lift bag and spare harness into a milk crate and just shook his head. Said I was asking for a tangled mess or something falling overboard. He made me buy those divided deck bins from Home Depot. Dang if it didn't cut my gear setup time in half. Any of yall found other good organization tricks that actually work?

Funny how the old guys always have a point even when you don't want to admit it... I went the opposite direction actually. Got tired of bins sliding around so I bolted some PVC pipe sections to the inside of my console. One for my lift bag, one for my spare mask and regulator, one for my dive light. Keeps everything upright and easy to grab without digging. The pipe cost me like $12 and a half hour of work.

Bungee cords across the back of my truck bed work pretty good for me. Just stretch them tight over the gear bags and they don't budge on bumpy roads. Cheap and easy to move around when I need the space for something else. Do you leave the PVC setup in place or take it out when you're not diving?
