Rant: Sat on a 20-minute surface swim because my comms unit crapped out mid-check.

I spent almost 4 hours troubleshooting a leak in a 12-inch intake pipe when the real problem was a corroded valve 2 feet away... Have you ever chased a ghost problem way longer than you should have before stepping back?

Tbh, is there a worse feeling than realizing you spent half your day fighting something that wasn't even the real problem? Ngl, I once took apart a whole pump assembly over a weird noise, only to find out a loose bolt in my toolbox was rattling around the whole time.
