Switching from band masks to free flow changed my dive days, not sure why we fight it
Been diving offshore out of Port Fourchon for about 4 years now, and I remember when everyone swore by band masks for cold water. I made the switch to free flow last spring after a buddy kept having his band freeze up on a 40 foot platform job. Whole dive felt smoother, no fogging, no fighting the seal, and I was in and out of the water quicker than I ever was before. Guys still tell me free flow is for rookies, but I've logged over 120 hours with it and never had a single issue. Anyone else ditch the old gear after years of sticking with it because that's just how you learned?

My old band mask fogged up so bad on a wreck dive I almost headbutted the railing trying to see my gauges.
