The $220 drysuit zipper wax that saved me a $900 repair in Port Angeles
Bought that fancy Norwegian zipper wax last fall after my O'ring valve froze up on a 45 foot hull job, and three weeks later when my suit took a snag on some rebar the zipper still sealed clean, so has anyone else found a cheaper brand that does the same thing?

Guess you paid for peace of mind instead of a patch kit and duct tape. That Norwegian stuff must come with a tiny Viking cheering every time it seals. Is being smug about zipper wax a hobby now?

Not really a hobby, just tired of buying new rain gear every season because the zippers gave out. Patch kits work fine for holes, but they do nothing when the zipper teeth stop catching. The wax is like 15 bucks and lasts forever, so it pays for itself pretty fast actually. Plus the little Viking thing is kinda cute, ngl. You do you with the duct tape though, whatever floats your boat.
