Tried dry bag vs hard case for camera gear underwater
Thought a dry bag would save me space on a job in Port Angeles. Got 30 feet down and realized it wasn't sealed right. Switched to a Pelican case and never looked back. What do you guys use for sensitive tools?

30 feet is way too deep for a dry bag, those are really for surface use or shallow snorkeling.

Huh, "shallow snorkeling" really got me thinking... I always figured a dry bag could handle a few feet of submersion no problem. But I guess that logic falls apart when you actually think about how those roll tops seal, they're just not built for real pressure. Appreciate you pointing that out, definitely changes how I'd use mine.
