A retired tech at the shop in Dayton told me to stop using canned air on fans and he was dead right

He said the propellant leaves a film that gums up the bearings, and sure enough the fan in my test bench rig seized up after a month. Do you guys use a compressor with a filter, or just swap fans at that point?
