Am I the only one who thinks remote diagnostics software gets overhyped?
Tbh, I had a client in Columbus last Tuesday with a printer that kept throwing a 50.4 error, and everyone in this sub keeps pushing those remote access tools like they're magic. I drove over, spent 10 minutes checking the fuser and found a cracked gear, fixed it on site for $80, done. The software crowd would have spent an hour chatting with the client, running logs, maybe rebooting the router, then billing them anyway. Ngl, I've seen too many younger techs skip the physical basics because they're glued to a dashboard. Has anyone else had a remote session miss something obvious that a screwdriver found in five minutes?
