Finally stopped using canned air for cleaning PC builds

For the last 6 years I was just using canned air to blow dust out of customer computers. I went through maybe 4 cans a week at $8 each. Last month I picked up a Metro Vacuum DataVac for about $70. Now I don't have to worry about cans freezing up or running out mid-job. It paid for itself in under 3 weeks just from not buying canned air anymore. Has anyone else made the switch to an electric duster and noticed a big difference?

Oh, you ever get that thing where you blow dust out and it lands right back on the motherboard because of static? I had a can freeze up on me once and I just kept using it anyway (bad idea, I know). The data vac sounds like a solid move. I've been thinking about getting one myself since I'm tired of the cans running out at the worst times.

The $70 price tag on the DataVac made me hesitate for months, but now I feel dumb for not buying it sooner because I went through a can every two days.

I read somewhere the DataVac basically pays for itself in a year if you clean regularly, right?
