Reset a router for a customer and it fixed their flickering lights too

Was out on a delivery last Wednesday and the guy asked if I could look at his computer since he knew I did tech work. His router was clocking, so I power cycled it, and his kitchen lights stopped flickering too. Has anyone else run into a bad router messing with house wiring?

Oh man, that's a wild coincidence but routers don't really mess with house wiring like that lol. It was probably just the timing, the lights could've been flickering from a loose connection or something that fixed itself at the same time.

That old house up the street from me had the same issue and it turned out to be a dying capacitor in the AC unit compressor kicking on that was messing with the voltage. The router just happened to be the thing they noticed when the lights flickered. Did you check if anything else in the house was acting weird around that time like the fridge or a power tool?
