Worst week I've had in 10 years - 3 motherboard failures in 5 days
Last Tuesday I got a call from a small business in Austin. Their server was dead, power supply fried. I replaced it, booted up fine, then the RAID controller died 4 hours later. That was just day 1. By Friday I had two more desktops come in with bad capacitors on the boards. All from different builds and different ages. Is this just a weird streak or have you guys seen an uptick in motherboard failures lately too?

Dang man, that's brutal, got any idea what's causing all this garbage?

Honestly the startup programs thing is a big one, people don't realize how much crap auto loads when you turn on your PC. Also those sketchy "free" download sites are a total nightmare, they bundle all kinds of junk that runs in the background. Running adwcleaner after the Malwarebytes scan usually digs out the extra layers of garbage that the main scanner misses.

@grantp14 Run CCleaner and Malwarebytes back to back, that usually catches most of the junk... also check what programs are set to launch at startup, that's usually the main culprit.
