Just finished my 500th yard of broom finish this year and the number threw me
I was cleaning out my truck yesterday and found my old job log, so I added up all the patios and walkways from January to now. It came out to 500 square yards exactly, which is way more than I thought I had done because most of them were small residential jobs. Does anyone else keep track of their square footage like this, or am I just weird with my notebook?

Tracking small tasks really shows how they add up to a big total.

Totally used to think tracking little things was a waste of time. Then I logged every 15 minute chore for a week, like clearing the sink or sorting mail. By Friday, I had found an extra three hours I didn't know I had. It completely changed how I see my day.

Oh man, I do the same thing with my project notes. It's crazy how all those little driveways and walkways add up to a number that big by the end of the season. Makes you feel good to see it all on paper.
