Just realized most people overwork their concrete edges
Been watching guys finish driveways around my area and they keep troweling the edges way too long. I did it myself for years until a buddy showed me you only get about 10-15 minutes before the edge starts to curl from overworking. Has anyone else noticed this or figured out a better system for timing it?

Oh man, I feel you on this one so hard. I spent a whole summer fighting curled edges on my own driveway until a old timer down the road finally told me I was just polishing them to death, you know? It's like you want them to look perfect but you're actually making them worse the longer you mess with them. I started setting a timer on my phone the second I finish screeding, and that simple trick saved me so much headache. The guys who brag about how smooth their edges are usually don't realize they're causing problems that'll show up in a few months, honestly.

Right? That timer trick is the only thing that saved me from ruining my own slab!

Just set your knee on the edge for 30 seconds to knock the curl flat before it hardens.
