That week in July when the heat wave hit during a big driveway pour

We had a 400 square foot job in Phoenix last July and the mix started setting in the truck before we even got it placed. Ended up with cold joints all over and had to rip out 30 feet the next day. Anyone else run into this with fast-set mixes in extreme heat?

Kinda makes you wonder why they don't just wet down the forms and rebar before pouring.

Did you try adding ice to the water before mixing?

Doesn't really matter, ice is ice no matter when you add it.
