Wasted $200 on a fancy concrete sealer that peeled off in 3 months
I used that high end sealer from the hardware store on my driveway last summer. Paid $200 for a 5 gallon bucket and spent a whole Saturday rolling it on. By November it was flaking off in sheets, looked worse than before I started. Anybody else had bad luck with those expensive sealers? What do you guys use instead?

Pretty sure the problem is" - your concrete was probably still damp from ground moisture underneath.

Yeah degreaser and dry time is everything, I scrub mine with TSP first and let it cure a full week before sealing.

I used that same stuff on my garage floor, paid about the same price. It started peeling after two months, right where my tires sit. Pretty sure the problem is you gotta clean the concrete with a degreaser first and let it dry for a full week before you roll anything on. I switched to a water-based penetrating sealer from a local masonry supply place, cost me $80 and it's held up for two years so far. You ever try the stuff that soaks into the concrete instead of sitting on top?
