I was loading groceries into my truck outside a Walmart off I-10 about 6 months ago when he walked up and just handed me this stapled packet. He did not yell or call me a sheep or anything, he just pointed at question number 9, which was about the flags waving, and then said, quote, if the wind is not there then what is moving that cloth. I stood there for like 15 minutes going point by point with him, and he actually listened when I brought up the stiff wire rod in the flag, he even wrote my answer in the margin in pen. We never agreed on anything but he shook my hand at the end and said nobody had ever sat through all 14 with him before. That is kind of my small win I guess, not changing his mind but having a real talk instead of a shouting match. What I keep wondering is how many of these are still floating around out there, so if you have argued about one specific claim that actually went somewhere, which one was it and what finally broke the ice?
