Found the 'missing' elevator inspection cert in a ceiling tile at a job in Tulsa

I was doing a safety audit on a 12 story building downtown and the paperwork for car 3 was supposedly lost. Spent 45 minutes digging through the maintenance office before I got annoyed and started poking around the machine room. Found it shoved up behind a loose ceiling tile above the controller, still in the envelope from 2022. Has anyone else dealt with building superintendents hiding records to avoid fines?

Last time I found a cert that way I also found someone's old lunch from 2019.

What was in it, a moldy sandwich that expired before the pandemic? I found a half-eaten granola bar behind a server rack once. It basically fossilized into a new type of rock. Probably worth more than the certificate at this point.

Oh man, that fossilized granola bar is probably worth more than my 401k at this point. I found a moldy protein bar behind my work truck seat that was so hard I could've used it as a gravel substitute on a driveway job. I honestly think that thing could outlast concrete. If you had tried to eat it you would've chipped a tooth for sure.
