Hit 10,000 steps every day for a full year and here's what I noticed

I started tracking my steps just out of curiosity last January. By December 31st I had hit 10,000 steps every single day no excuses. The weird part is that I didn't lose any weight or get noticeably fitter. But my sleep got way better and my anxiety levels dropped a ton. My buddy says it's because the daily walking became a meditation thing for me. But my other friend thinks I just traded one obsession for another and the numbers don't mean anything real. Has anyone else hit a random milestone like this and found it didn't match what you expected?

i did the keto thing for like 3 months straight, tracked everything, and the scale barely budged. it was super frustrating because everyone else seemed to drop pounds overnight. turns out i was eating too many "keto friendly" snacks that had hidden carbs and fake sugars. those things messed with my digestion and cravings big time. once i cut out all the packaged keto stuff and just ate meat and veggies, the weight finally started moving. sometimes less is more with these diets.

That whole experience really points to something I've noticed more and more. Everyone is looking for a shortcut or a magic fix in a box, you know? But real changes usually come from stripping things back to basics. It's like we've all been trained to think that more products and more complicated rules mean better results. But in reality, our bodies just want whole foods and less processed stuff. It's the same with any diet trend - people load up on the "approved" packaged things and wonder why it doesn't work. Cutting out the middle man (the snacks, the substitutes) is usually what actually helps.
