Hot take: People keep getting the moon landing 'debunk' clips wrong

I keep seeing these TikTok videos claiming the flag waving proves it was filmed on a soundstage. But the flag has a horizontal rod at the top to keep it out, and the 'waving' is just the astronauts twisting it into the ground. Why does nobody look at the original NASA footage with the rod clearly visible before believing the fake edits?

Respectfully, the rod at the top is actually pretty clear in the original footage once you slow it down. The way the dust kicks up under the lander and stays low is also really hard to fake with any 1960s tech. It just feels like people see a two-second clip and skip the whole context...

Exactly! I've shown people that slowed down footage so many times and they still try to argue about the flag moving. The way the dust falls so flat with almost no upward kick is a huge giveaway that they were actually there. @the_elliot is right about the rod too, you can spot it around the 0:45 mark in the full landing video if you look at the top edge of the flag. Show them the full 15 minute landing reel instead of the 10 second highlight clip and most of the "obvious" problems disappear.

Told my buddy about what @torres.thea pointed out and he finally stopped calling it fake after watching the full reel.
