I spent $200 on a book about moon landing proof and it totally flipped my view.

The author showed me a photo from 1972 that had a clear reflection in an astronaut's visor, which matched a NASA diagram of the camera setup they said wasn't there.

That's a pretty wild find. It's the small details that often get overlooked. Makes you wonder what else is in those old photos.

You're right about the small details. I zoomed in on a family photo from the 70s last week and saw my granddad's watch. It was broken, which he never mentioned. That watch is in a drawer at my mom's house right now. It makes the past feel so close, like it's hiding in plain sight. What's the wildest thing you've found in an old picture?

Sometimes the background tells more than the people. I was looking at a shot of my aunt in her old kitchen and noticed a calendar on the wall. The date was wrong by a whole month. It made me realize the photo was taken the week her husband left, and she probably didn't care about changing it. That kind of quiet mess hits harder than a posed smile.

Look for the things they tried to hide, like a hand covering a tattoo.
