My cousin told me to ignore the 'birds aren't real' stuff, and now I'm not so sure
He said it was just a silly meme and that I was overthinking it. But then I saw a news report about a drone that looked exactly like a hawk, and it was from a government contractor. This was about two months ago. I brought it up to him and he just laughed, but I keep seeing more weird stuff online. Has anyone else had a joke theory start to feel a bit too real?

Man, @michaeltorres is right about the beeping thing. I had a buddy who was a total skeptic until he noticed this one pigeon on his fire escape never moved its wings when it landed. Like it just... stopped in midair. Then one day he was grilling and a crow flew past and he swore he heard this little electric hum. He never brought it up again but he also started closing his blinds whenever birds were outside. The whole thing creeps me out more than I want to admit.

My buddy Dave swore it was all nonsense until a pigeon outside his office window turned its head with a faint servo whine. He tried to brush it off, but now he gets quiet whenever a bird lands on his balcony. The jokes stop feeling funny when you start noticing the details.

Yeah, Dave's probably just realizing his balcony is the local charging station. Next he'll notice the squirrels have perfect little blinking LED eyes. Tell him to listen for the quiet beep when they take off.
