Question about the 3 different dates on my property deed
I was going through the paperwork on my house near Springfield and noticed the deed has three separate dates on it. One for when the county recorded it, one for when the notary stamped it, and one handwritten on the back that looks older. Took me six months and two trips to the county clerk's office to figure out that the handwritten one matched the original land grant, not the sale. Why would a title company leave that kind of discrepancy in the public record? Has anyone else seen a similar thing on their own deed or are they just sloppy with their filing?

Man, I still can't find my car keys half the time, let alone figure out deed dates.

Ha! @thomas_torres, you lose your car keys but track deed dates? Priorities, man.
