Rant: I bought into chemtrails, but a simple weather lesson cleared it up for me.

Back in high school, a friend had me convinced contrails were something bad. Our science teacher quickly explained how they work and it all clicked.

Hold up, your friend had you convinced contrails were bad? Omg that's wild. That rumor is so common though, like my cousin swore they were government sprays. Our science teacher broke it down plain and simple: hot plane exhaust hits cold air, makes water vapor clouds. Once you hear the real deal, it clicks, but some people still eat up the conspiracy stuff I see all over online. Like, how do they not get the basic science? Glad your teacher set you straight. Science wins again.

Yeah, @taylorshah, that's a common trap. Friends mean well, but they spread junk science. Your teacher did right by cutting through the noise. I see this all the time online, people clinging to wild ideas. The truth is so basic, it's almost stupid not to get it. But here we are, still arguing about water vapor.

Wonder what happens after the facts get laid out though. Like the teacher explains the science clear as day. Some people just double down. Seen it with other stuff too. Makes you think it's not about the info at all. What's the hook that keeps them believing when the truth is so simple?
