That one comment on my air fryer temp changed everything

Some random on a forum said I was cooking chicken at 400 for too long and that's why it was dry, so I dropped it to 350 and added a 5 minute rest. Has anyone else had a total stranger give them better advice than their own family?

Oh man, total game changer right? I had the same thing happen with chicken thighs, some dude said stop crowding the pan and it fixed my soggy skin problem instantly. Trust strangers on the internet more than my own mom at this point honestly.

Counterpoint - crowding the pan is what keeps the meat from drying out in my experience. I've gotten way better results jamming thighs in there and letting them steam each other a little. Different strokes I guess (but also maybe different pans).

Right? My own mom told me to bake chicken at 375 for an hour and a half, then wondered why it tasted like shoe leather. Meanwhile some rando on a recipe thread was like "try 325 and pull it at 160" and suddenly I'm making the best chicken of my life. Family will gas you up just to avoid hurting your feelings, strangers online have zero stakes and will tell you the brutal truth. That air fryer advice you got sounds way better than anything my grandma ever handed down, no offense to her soul.
