The week my whole block thought I was running a cult out of my garage
It started last Tuesday when I hung a bunch of string lights and put out a folding table with snacks. Then my neighbor's cat kept wandering in, so I gave it a little bowl of water. By Friday, I had three kids from down the street asking if they could join the 'light party' after school. On Saturday, old Mr. Hernandez knocked on my door dead serious and asked if I needed to borrow his tinfoil hats for protection. Has anyone else accidentally made their house look like a meeting spot for something weird?

Three kids voluntarily showing up is how most real cults start anyway.

Ha, people love to make a big deal out of nothing. Your neighbors probably needed something to gossip about since nothing else was happening that week. @milarodriguez I bet your bird feeder drama was just as overblown with everyone acting like it was some secret cat headquarters.

I had a similar thing happen but with a bird feeder I put up in my backyard. Suddenly all the neighborhood cats started hanging out there, and then some random guy left a note asking if I was running a feline rescue. It's wild how fast people jump to conclusions when they see anything out of the ordinary.
