Tried following a flat earth YouTube channel just to laugh at it, ended up spending 2 hours down a rabbit hole about NASA footage
So I clicked on some dude's video about how the moon landing was faked. I was just gonna skim it for jokes, but he had this whole breakdown of shadows in the Apollo 11 photos that actually made me pause. Then I spent like an hour fact checking his claims with old NASA docs online. Learned that shadows on the moon are tricky because of the reflective surface but it got weird when I found out the original film reels are actually missing. Has anyone else accidentally gone too deep into a conspiracy just to debunk it and ended up more confused?

Wait, the actual original film reels from Apollo 11 are missing? I thought I knew all the silly conspiracy stuff but that one hit me hard. NASA says they might have been loaned out to some archive and just never returned, but that sounds way too convenient for a government that filmed the whole thing. It does mess with your head when you try to disprove something and instead find a real gap in the story.

Yeah I heard some director guy was trying to track them down for a documentary and found out they basically vanished.
