Vent: That guy at the flea market who swore 9/11 was an inside job

I was browsing old vinyl records at a flea market in Austin last Saturday when this older man next to me started pointing at a building on the cover and said 'you know they brought those towers down on purpose, right?' He went on for 10 minutes about controlled demolition, citing some video he saw on YouTube in 2008. Do you ever get stuck in conversations like this where you just nod but it makes you question how people land on these ideas?

Is it really that serious though? I mean, yeah it's annoying when someone corners you with a wild theory at a flea market, but at the end of the day you just nod and walk away. People latch onto all sorts of weird stuff online, it's just how some folks fill the quiet parts of their brain.
