Watched my neighbor's pool turn from clear to green in 3 days flat
My neighbor Dave went on vacation to Tampa last July and left his pool pump off. Came back to a swamp that cost him $800 in chemicals and a week of scrubbing to fix. I run a pest control business so I deal with stagnant water all the time, but this really showed me how fast something can go bad with no circulation. Has anyone else seen a pool tank that quick or was this just perfect storm conditions?

My buddy's hot tub went green over a long weekend one time.

Hot tubs are a little different though, they have that cover trapping heat and stuff in. A pool left out in the sun with no pump going, that's like a science experiment waiting to happen. Still, three days does seem crazy fast unless it was already kinda dirty when they left.
