Back around 2019 I was packing every video with zooms, sound effects, and text popups because that's what all the big channels did, and I thought more editing meant more effort. He said the cuts were stepping on my own punchlines, so I started leaving jokes alone and only cutting dead air, and my watch time went up even with shorter videos. Anyone else get a note like that and completely rebuild how they edit?
