Can we talk about how hard it is to keep a consistent upload schedule?

Last month, I tried posting every Tuesday and Thursday like clockwork. By the third week, I missed a deadline because my editing software crashed right before bed. It threw off my whole rhythm and I lost about 40 subscribers who liked the regular content. Has anyone found a way to bounce back after breaking a schedule?

and honestly i just tell people i'm taking a break now. way less pressure. if you lose subs they weren't that loyal anyway. i post when i feel like it and people come back. consistency is overrated when you're just one person.

The real issue isn't the schedule breaking, it's that you tied your value to a specific day and time instead of the work itself. I've seen people bounce back by doing one crazy thing - posting a "weird" video on a random day that has nothing to do with their normal content. Like if you do tech reviews, post something about your worst repair job ever on a Wednesday night. That unpredictability hooks people back in because they stop expecting the routine and start looking for the surprise. Your old subs might have left because they knew exactly what they were getting - now you can rebuild with people who actually care about the content, not the calendar. Drop the schedule completely for a month and see who sticks around for the chaos, then slowly bring back a loose rhythm later.
