Comparison trap between two editing workflows nearly killed my channel

I spent 6 months editing everything in DaVinci Resolve because everyone said it was the pro standard. My videos looked fine but I was spending 12 hours on a 10 minute cut just fighting the interface. Switched back to Premiere Pro three weeks ago and my turnaround time dropped to 4 hours per video. Has anyone else found that the "best" tool isn't always the best for your specific brain?

Did switching back feel like admitting defeat at first or more like finally giving yourself permission to work smarter?

Man, that's exactly how I felt with Final Cut for years. People act like Resolve is the only way to go these days but it's a clunky mess for quick editing. Premiere just works faster in my hands, plain and simple. The gatekeeping around NLEs is so dumb, use what gets the job done and lets you sleep at night.
