Heard a podcast where a YouTuber said they edit for 4 hours per minute of final video

That stat blew my mind because I usually spend like 45 minutes on a minute of footage. Makes me wonder if I'm overthinking it or if they're just way faster. What's your edit time per finished minute looking like?

Notice this SAME pattern everywhere now - people flexing about how HARD they work instead of showing actual results. Had a neighbor who bragged about mowing his lawn for 3 hours every Saturday, took me 45 minutes to do the same size yard. Different tools, different methods, different priorities. The "4 hours per minute" crowd is just advertising their process inefficiency while trying to make it sound impressive.

Figure 4 hours per minute is them bragging about being super dedicated, not a realistic benchmark people should aim for. Sounds like a flex more than useful advice honestly.
