Hit 500 subscribers last night and felt nothing. Is that weird?

I spent six months grinding out weekly videos on building custom fishing rods and finally crossed 500 subs last night. But instead of celebrating, I just sat there thinking about the next video and how to get to 1,000. Does the milestone excitement wear off for you guys too?

Honestly, is the goalpost moving really a bad thing though? I mean think about it. If you hit 1000 subs and you're just satisfied and stop trying, what's the point? The whole reason you started making content was to grow and get better. That hunger to hit the next milestone is what keeps you from getting lazy. Plus 500 subs on a hyper specific niche like custom fishing rods is actually really good. Generic channels get 500 subs easy because they appeal to everyone and no one at the same time. Your audience is small but they actually care. That's worth way more than some inflated number.
